WI vs IND: Yes, Team India Is In Our Turf; we won’t Let Them Win- Phil Simmons

WI vs IND: Yes, Team India Is In Our Turf, We won’t Let Them Win- Phil Simmons: A three-match ODI series will be played between West Indies and India from July 22. Ahead of the upcoming home series, West Indies head coach Phil Simmons said they need to bat the full 50 overs and build a good partnership if they want to beat Team India.

Phil Simmons wants his batters to play the full 50 overs, with at least one of them scoring a century and taking over the West Indies innings to give a formidable challenge to the Indian cricket team in the upcoming ODI series. These three ODIs will be played on 22, 24, and 27 July at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, in Trinidad.

WI vs IND: Phil Simmons is not worried about West Indies’ bowling and fielding

Phil Simmons was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo: “What matters most to us is how we bat our 50 overs. We have to bat 50 overs and put our innings and partnerships together. Some batsman or the other has to try to score a century and hold the team together.”

The head coach is not overly concerned about West Indies’ bowling and fielding, even though they recently lost the home series against Bangladesh. Phil Simmons concluded: “Our bowling and fielding are improving every day. We give a very high place to fielding because the better we are bowling, the better the fielding should be so that wickets can be taken quickly. Our bowlers are doing well, and we just have to stop the opposing team from scoring more runs.
