Despite this disappointing performance, the West Indies captain is hopeful of a better performance from his team in the upcoming series against the Indian team.

Nicholas Pooran was quoted by The Times of India as saying: “India has millions of players who can play the role of match-winners. They have many match winners who can win matches with their batting and bowling performance. But we can challenge them in the upcoming series, which will show the cricket world the strength of West Indies. If we can do that, it will be wonderful for us.”
On West Indies’ recent form in ODI cricket, the skipper said: “We are trying to find out the right mindset for ODI cricket. As soon as we get the right mindset, the improvement in our performance will come automatically.
