Mumbai: Executive producer Kshitij Prasad, Who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs case in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, submitted a plea before the NDPS court today retracting his confession statement. Kshitij Prasad told the special judge Gurav that the NCB repeatedly harassed and coerced him to falsely implicate actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, and Dino Morea.
Prasad was produced before the court today and sent to judicial custody until October 6. The court said that the police were given sufficient time to investigate the crime and there were no justifiable reasons to extend his police custody.

Earlier, NCB has lashed out at claims made by Kshitij Prasad’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde saying that the above news item in circulation is mischievous and completely untrue.
According to reports, the NCB has very clearly stated that there has been no physical torture or harassment. Kshitij’s family and lawyers were informed as per the procedure. He was also allowed to meet his father-in-law and wife.
Prasad is among 20, including Rhea Chakraborty, who is in NCB’s custody. An NCB official seeking Prasad’s remand said he was a key accused linked to the “drug syndicate” and was being uncooperative.
