Sri Lanka scored 222 runs in their first innings, in response to which Pakistan scored 218 runs in their first innings. Babar Azam scored an incredible century of 119 runs for Pakistan. After this, the Sri Lanka team batted well in their second innings and scored 337 runs for losing all wickets. For the hosts, experienced batsman Dinesh Chandimal played an unbeaten half-century of 94 runs in the second innings.

Chasing the target of 342 runs, the Pakistan team made 222 runs for the loss of 3 wickets till the end of the fourth day’s play. He still has 120 runs to score. Opener Abdullah Shafiq is still unbeaten for the Pakistan team while playing an essential century of 112 * runs. Shafiq completed his century in 237 balls.
Let us tell you, this is Shafiq’s 6th Test match, and this is his second century. Not only this, but Shafiq also shared a 101-run partnership for the third wicket with captain Babar Azam at difficult times. Babar Azam jumped with joy as soon as Shafiq completed his century. His happiness was worth seeing. Abdullah Shafiq made his Test debut against Bangladesh in the year 2021. He scored his first century against Australia in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan needs 120 runs to win on the last day of the match, and so far, Abdullah Shafiq is at the crease after scoring 112* and Mohammad Rizwan scoring 7*. Now it has to be seen whether the Pakistan team can make this target on the last day of the match or the Sri Lankan team drops Pakistan’s seven wickets before that.
