Washington Sundar Made His County Debut For Lancashire: Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar made his county debut for Lancashire against Northamptonshire on 19 July. The spin-bowling all-rounder is looking forward to sharing the Lancashire dressing room with veteran England pacer James Anderson and playing with him.

Prior to his first match in county cricket, Washington Sundar recalled playing for Lancashire on PlayStation as a child, and stated that he was a big fan of Lancashire legends Andrew Flintoff and James Anderson. Sundar further revealed that he picked Lancashire against most of the home teams while playing on PlayStation and now has the privilege of playing for this English cricket club.

Washington Beautiful looking forward to meeting James Anderson

Washington Sundar said during an interview with Lancashire’s official YouTube channel: “I remember whenever I was playing on my PlayStation, I always picked Lancashire against most home teams. It is a wonderful experience to be here now and to be a part of Lancashire.

I used to be Andrew Flintoff, because he was able to get me some big sixes down the order with four stormy overs. James Anderson is also a great bowler, and he can swing the ball both ways. I am so excited to see them and meet them. If possible, I will get to know James Anderson closely during my stint with Lancashire and see how he goes about his things.”

Washington Sundar concluded: “We have some exciting talent and some experienced players in our team. I look forward to sharing the dressing room with him and understanding how cricket is played here.”
