Jos Buttler Praises Jasprit Bumrah, Says Facing Him Is Quite Challenging: Jos Buttler, the new England captain in the limited overs format, is known for his calm demeanor. Rarely did the fans ever see him getting angry inside or outside the field. But after losing the first match against India, there came an opportunity where Butler lost his patience. When a reporter repeatedly asked him whether India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was the best, he seemed pretty annoyed with this question.

Bumrah had shattered the English batting order in the first ODI. The pitch was favorable for the fast bowlers, and the Indian pacer entirely used the conditions. Bumrah took six wickets for 19 runs in 7.2 overs, which included three maidens. He has also convicted the player of the match for his match-winning spell.

During this, a journalist reminded Jos Butter about former English captain Nasser Hussain, who asked during commentary whether Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler in all formats. In response, Buttler also praised Bumrah and admitted that facing him was challenging.

In praise of Bumrah, Butler said, “There is no doubt that he is a brilliant bowler. He has been one of the best bowlers in the world for many years. And it seems that he is constantly on his way to the better. That’s the big challenge of playing against India, and you get to face these great bowlers and batters. So you want to play international cricket to challenge yourself against the best. No doubt he (Bumrah) is one of the best.

Reporters, however, were not satisfied with his reply and made it clear that the England captain had not answered his question. The journalist again said that Bumrah is the best or one of the best. On this, Butler said – ‘Now you decide.’ This reply seemed to anger Butler, and they made such a statement to end the conversation.
