Delhi schools reopening for classes 9 and 11 from February 5 onwards

After Delhi schools reopened on January 18 for classes 10 and 12, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia announced that schools will also reopen for classes 9 and 11 in the state from February 5 onwards. Moreover, college, degree or diploma institute will also be allowed to open.

Students will need to bring their guardian’s or parent’s permission to attend school or college. Educational institutes would need to mandatorily follow all Covid-19 safety protocols.

Schools reopened for classes 10 and 12 after 10 months of closure due to Covid-19. The Delhi government will soon prepare a final plan as to when the students can be called for the examinations.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had stated that the schools in Delhi will only be reopened once the Covid-19 vaccine is made available. This call was taken by the government to ensure the safety of the students and teachers.
