NTA UGC NET Result 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the result and category-wise cut-off for all 81 subjects for National Eligibility Test (NET). Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check the cut-off at the official websites, nta.ac.in and ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The cut-offs are in form of percentile score.
A total of 8,60,976 candidates had registered to appear for the exam. Of these, a total of 5,26,707 candidates took the exam, as per the official data shared by the NTA. Of the 5.26 lakh candidates who appeared, a total of 47157 have passed the exam. Of these 40986 candidates qualified for the assistant professorship as many as 6171 qualified for both JRF and assistant professor posts.
Further, 36138 candidates who applied for JRF and assistant professor and qualified for assistant professor only, have qualified for awards. Of these, 4,029 candidates qualified for National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC), 431 National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC), 475 for Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students (MANF), as per NTA.

The final answer key was released earlier by the NTA. Candidates who clear UGC NET will be eligible for the job of assistant professor.
As per the UGC policy, 6 per cent of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified.
For the exam, live CCTV Surveillance through more than 2400 CCTVs was carried out and 1700 jammers were installed in each shift, as per NTA. The NTA also deployed 19 regional coordinators, 214 city coordinators, and 525 observers, as per the official statement.
