By Zydus Cadila : Zydus Cadila aims to produce 1 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses per month-Zydus Cadila is a leading pharmaceutical company in India. Zydus Cadila aims to produce 1 crore vaccine doses from the month of August where in the month of November they aims to produce 5 crore doses of vaccine.
Applied for emergency use approval for their vaccine to the Drug controller general of India Zydus said ‘their vaccine is effective against Covid -19 along with adults and vaccine also effective for adolescents 12-18 , In India till now no vaccine is available for adolescents .
Zydus made request for approval from DCGI
Zydus applied for the emergency use approval (EUA) If approved then ZyCoV-D will be the world’s first DNA vaccine, as it makes use of a portion of the genetic code – DNA or RNA – in the SARS-CoV-2 virus it helps to stimulate an immune response against its spike protein.
Vaccines are available for vaccination is different from Zydus vaccine, Zydus made DNA vaccine that is differ from other approved COVID-19 shots.
If Zydus got approval of vaccination for adolescents 12-18 , Zydus will start production of 1 crore dose in the month of August.
