Zomato Now Lets You Mark Food Orders As COVID Emergencies But You Must Promise To Not Misuse It

Zomato has rolled out a new feature on its application that allows users to mark food orders as a Covid-19 emergency.


This feature will be prioritised in the queue for the quickest possible delivery as Zomato will assign the ‘fastest rider’ based on location and route.
He said that the new feature is available both on Apple iPhone as well as Android phone.


“Today, along with thousands of our restaurant partners, we just rolled out a ‘priority delivery for Covid emergencies’ feature on the Zomato app.


Reports suggest that all deliveries to such customers will be contactless by default to ensure the safety of the delivery persons and the customers. The restaurant on Zomato will be alerted once the user selects the option on his/her phone. The restaurant in turn will prepare and deliver the order on priority.
