Earlier, there were reports that Shakib Al Hasan might not play against the Windies.
Bangladesh is scheduled to play three ODIs on July 10, 13, and 16, respectively, after the ongoing T20I series in Guyana. After a meeting, BCB cricket operations head Jalal Younis told reporters that Shakib was not available for the Zimbabwe tour in July-August.

Jalal said that Shakib is not available for the Zimbabwe tour, and he had already informed us about it, and that is why we are sitting with the selection panel regarding the team’s formation. Most of the other senior players are available and want to play.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, Bangladesh Cricket Board is thinking of sending another team to tour Zimbabwe. However, a decision on this has not yet been taken. The whole thing will be revealed only when the team is announced. At present, Shakib’s unavailability has been confirmed. The Bangladesh team is on a West Indies tour to play in all three formats.
Shakib Al Hasan is an essential player on the Bangladesh team. He is also the captain in the Test format. The reason behind his exit has not been revealed. He has often kept himself away from the game for personal reasons.
