Although the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is replacing the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X, the former is completely different from the latter. The Meteor 350 comes with a brand new 349cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-oil cooled engine with EFI (electronic fuel injection) system. The motor develops 20.2bhp of maximum power and 27Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a standard 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Even the chassis and suspension of the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 are fresh. The cruiser sits on a twin downtube spine frame. The suspension duties are performed by telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks with a 6-step adjustable preload at the rear. The front has a 19-inch alloy wheel with a tubeless tyre, while the rear gets a 17-inch alloy wheel with a tubeless tyre. There is a 300mm disc at the front with a twin-piston floating caliper and a 270mm disc at the rear with a single-piston floating caliper. Also available is dual-channel ABS.
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 features a round halogen headlamp with LED DRL. The headlamp is flanked by chrome turn indicators. The front has a plastic fender. The twin-pod instrument cluster looks nice and is a mix of analog and digital displays. The new Meteor 350 gets tripper navigation (turn-by-turn navigation) and Bluetooth connectivity as well. At the rear, you will come across a metal mudguard and LED taillamp. The windscreen and twin-seat arrangement accentuate the style quotient of the cruiser.
There are seven color options in total in the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The Meteor 350 Fireball is available in Fireball Yellow and Fireball Red. The Meteor 350 Stellar gets Stellar Red, Stellar Black, and Stellar Blue. The Meteor 350 Supernova has Supernova Brown (dual-tone) and Supernova Blue (dual-tone).
Among the rivals of the new Royal Enfield Meteor, 350 will be the Jawa Perak, Benelli Imperiale 400, and Honda H’ness CB350.
