No One From BCCI Panel Can Drop Virat Kohli: Senior India batsman Virat Kohli has been struggling in all three formats of the game for a long time, due to which many former cricketers have suggested the removal of the former captain from the team.
However, the right-handed batsman has the support of skipper Rohit Sharma and the team management. Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has made a big statement regarding the news of Virat Kohli being dropped from Team India. Rashid Latif has said that there is no selector born in India who can drop Kohli from the Indian cricket team.
It’s not easy to drop Virat Kohli from Team India: Rashid Latif
Let us tell you, Kohli’s average in all three formats of the game in 2022 this year is 25.50, which is the lowest average in his career so far in a calendar year. He scored 16 runs against England in the second ODI at Lord’s on 14 July, where India suffered a 100-run defeat. Earlier, he had scored 1 and 11 runs in two T20I matches. Not many runs are coming from his bat for a long time, increasing the team’s problems.
Rashid Latif said during a conversation on YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’ when asked whether Kohli should be dropped from the team: “India hasn’t born a selector who can drop Virat Kohli.” Kohli last scored an international century in November 2019.
Although the entire cricket fraternity stands with the former Indian captain in this difficult time, many legends have advised him to take a break from the game. Kohli has been rested for the five-match T20 International series on India’s upcoming tour of West Indies, and it is expected that this will ease things for him.
