By Check The List Of Teams That Will Participate In The Global T20 Namibia Series: India’s home team, Bengal, and Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars Cricket Namibia will participate in the Global T20 Namibia Series. The Global T20 Namibia series will start in September. Four teams will take part in this competition, with the third being from South Africa.
Bengal has already announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming Global T20 Namibia series, which will be captained by Abhimanyu Easwaran. Many players like Shabaz Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, Ishaan Porel, and Hrithik Chatterjee have been included in this 16-member team.
India and Pakistan players will once again face to face
Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joint secretary Devvrat Das said that Bengal took advantage of this opportunity as their players will get a chance to play against players who will be part of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 as well as It will also help him in his preparation for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Devvrat Das told ESPN Cricinfo: “The broadcasters of this tournament contacted our president Avishek Dalmiya and invited us to participate in this tournament.
We agreed to it because we might get a chance to play six-seven matches before the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as against the players going into the T20 World Cup 2022.
He added: “There are many young players playing local cricket in Bengal and doing great in T20 cricket. That’s why we are sending mostly those youngsters for the T20 Namibia series so that we can build our strong team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The team we are sending there is a new team. We want to see how they play, how they tackle the challenges in this tournament.”
