IPL 2021-Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Devdutt Padiqkal is all set for the IPL after recovering from a Corona virus infection and wants to replicate his superb form of domestic cricket in the league.
Padikkal was a victim of corona infection on March 22 and was living in seclusion. He is now fully recovered and is practicing with the team.
He wrote on RCB’s Twitter handle, “Corona was a shock. I wish it did not happen, but I do not have control over some things. I am working hard to keep myself fully fit on my return. ”
He said,“ I am completely fine and able to practice at the moment. In IPL, you always have to be 100 percent prepared. If it is not, then you cannot perform. ”
In the last season of IPL, the 20-year-old batsman scored the most 473 runs for RCB. In his first season, he had scored five half-centuries. At the same time, he scored 218 in six matches in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and 737 runs in seven matches in Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Padikkal said, “The last IPL was fantastic for me. It was a great experience. The performance in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy was also good and I achieved my rhythm with the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Now I am full of confidence for the IPL. ”
