ICSE Class 10, Class 12 exam 2021: After CBSE cancels Class 10 exam, CISCE to soon take decision on ICSE board exams 2021

Ending weeks’ long speculation, the Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday (April 14) cancelled the CBSE class 10 exam and postponed Class 12 exams in the view of rising Covid 19 cases. The decision regarding the CBSE exams 2021 came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting to discuss about the same.

 

 

Meanwhile, as CBSE cancelled the board exams 2021, ICSE Class 10, Class 12 students are also expecting the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) to take similar decision.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations reportedly is reviewing the COVID-19 situation and will soon take a decision on conducting ICSE class 10 and 12 board exams.

 

We are reviewing the situation and will soon take a decision in this regard,” CICSE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon told PTI.
It appears the CISCE class 10 and 12 board students will soon get the good news amid these difficlut times.
CISCE class 10 exams are scheduled to begin from May 5 while class 12 exams have already begun from April 8.
Earlier, the information was shared by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Wednesday.
“The Board Exams for Class Xth to be held from 4th May  to June 14th, 2021 are hereby cancelled.
The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.  The Board Exams for Class XIIth to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021 are hereby postponed.
These exams will be held hereafter. The situation will be reviewed on 1st June 2021 by the Board, and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations.
He further said, “Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.”
