By A First information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the manufacturers of the fresh discharged net series ‘Tandav’ for promoting enmity and inflicting public mischief , the Lucknow Police aforesaid.
Lucknow deputy commissioner of police (Central) Somen Barma aforesaid, “The FIR [lodged at the Hazratganj police office on Sunday] has been lodged against Aparna Purohit, an officer of Amazon, series director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himashu Krishna Mehra, its author Gaurav Solanki, and others.”
In his grievance, senior sub-inspector Amarnath Yadav, denote at the Hazratganj police office, alleged that he received data that video clips, that area unit allegedly harmful against a specific cluster within the society, were being circulated wide on varied social media platforms.
On work, he found that the clips were from ‘Tandav’ that was discharged on Gregorian calendar month sixteen. A case has been registered beneath Sections 153A (promoting enmity between groups), 295 (defiling place of worship with intent to insult religion), 505 (statement conducing public mischief), 469 (forgery deliberately of harming reputation) of the Indian legal code (IPC) and sections of the IT Act.
“A four-member police team is work the matter and action are taken against the defendant if the grievance is found to be true,” aforesaid the officer. Similar complaints against ‘Tandav’ have conjointly been lodged in Sitapur and Rae Bareli districts.
Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has demanded removal of the objectionable parts from the show. In a similar development, a case has been registered against the producer of net series ‘Mirzapur’ and Amazon Prime for pain non secular sentiments and social beliefs within the Mirzapur district of japanese UP, the Mirzapur Police aforesaid. A lawman aforesaid that the case was registered following a grievance by Arvind Chaturvedi World Health Organization claimed that his non secular sentiments and social beliefs were hurt by the show.
The web series defamed Mirzapur since it had been choked with abuses and showed illicit relations, Chaturvedi alleged. A case has been registered beneath Sections 395a (deliberate and malicious acts, supposed to outrage non secular feelings of any class), Section 505 (statements or content publishes to making public enmity), Section thirty four (acts done by many persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC and therefore the IT Act, the lawman aforesaid.
