Coronavirus in India Highlights- Why should India need to increase vaccination speed: India has been vaccinated over 44 crore people against Coronavirus. However, the pace of vaccination is still a concern that most of still not taking vaccines.
The report was given by Union Health Ministry:
It includes that an average of 38.26 lakh doses per day, around 9.94 crore doses were administered till Sunday i.e 25 July.
Target set by the government but fail to achieve:
The government set a target that the vaccination done by giving 1cr doses daily in July month. The country may be missing the target if it continues the vaccination drive at this pace. At the current pace, India would end vaccination with 12.5 crore people by the end of July month. It needs more to scale up the vaccination drive to approx 60 lakh doses per day to achieve the target.
After a record start of 87 lakh jabs under the new vaccination policy on June 1, the momentum has already slowed down considerably in July. India has administered over 60 lakh doses per day only twice during the month.
This is the time when India needs to increase the vaccination doses per day so they can achieve the target. and also ready to fight against the third wave of Covid-19. and not letting the situation out of control just like the second wave.
