Amazon refuses to appear before joint committee of Parliament on Data Protection Bill

E-commerce big Amazon has refused to seem before the Joint Committee of Parliament on the info Protection Bill on Gregorian calendar month twenty eight and this amounts to breach of privilege, panel president and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi same on weekday.

Lekhi same “the panel is unanimous in its opinion that powerful action is instructed to the govt. against the e-commerce company”.

“Amazon has refused to seem before the panel on Gregorian calendar month twenty eight and if nobody on behalf of the e-commerce company seems before the panel it amounts to breach of privilege,” she told PTI.

Meanwhile, Facebook’s policy head Ankhi Das appeared before the panel on the difficulty of information security on weekday.

During the meeting, a member instructed that the social media big shouldn’t draw inferences from the info of its users for business advantages of its advertisers.
