When is Golden Globes 2021? Date, time and where to watch

The nominations for the 78th Golden Globes Awards were announced in a virtual ceremony on Wednesday, February 3. The Golden Globes ceremony will take place on February 28 – almost two months later than usual. Despite an unconventional year, the quality of contenders is strong. Here’s everything you need to know about the Golden Globes 2021.

WHEN TO WATCH?

US: Sunday, Feb 28 at 5 pm PT/ 8 pm ET

Australia: Monday, March 1 at noon AEDT

UK: Monday, March 1 at 1 am GMT

India: Monday, March 1 at 4 am

Note: The exact ceremony start time hasn’t been announced yet, but for now we’ll assume it’s the same as last year (and the year before).

HOW TO WATCH?

The virtual ceremony will be broadcast live from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on NBC. While last year, the Golden Globes ceremony was simulcast live in India on Comedy Central India, Vh1 India and Colors Infinity, it is yet to be known if it will be available on these platforms this year as well.

As for viewers in the US, you can watch NBC online on AT&T TV Now, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV (All of them are paid streaming platforms).

If you enjoy the red carpet, it’ll likely be streamed on the Golden Globes Facebook page. The winners will also be announced via Twitter.

WHO IS HOSTING?

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be hosting the Golden Globes Awards virtually. This will be their fourth outing as hosts of the award ceremony. Though this time they won’t actually be in the same room. While Poehler will host from The Beverly Hilton, where the Globes are usually held, Fey will be set up in The Rainbow Room inside NBC’s corporate headquarters in New York.
