Team India are all set to fly out from the UAE to tour Australia right after the IPL 2020 final on November 10, in Dubai. The tour down under will start with a 3-match One Day International series, commencing on November 27 in Sydney.

Chennai Super Kings star Ravindra Jadeja, who has been free of IPL duties since his team got knock out ahead of the playoffs, is a part of all 3 Indian squads that will feature in Australia. The Indian spinner took to Instagram and posted a photo with Ajinkya Rahane.

Both cricketers were seen in their Team India training kits and captioned ‘Getting ready for the Down Under’. While Jadeja features in the squads all three formats, Rahane was named in the 18-man Test squad alone. After the conclusion of the 3 ODIs and as many T20Is, the 4-match Test series in Australia will commence on December 17, in Adelaide.

Veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan was rather surprised to see his Delhi Capitals teammate Ajinkya Rahane training for the Australia tour and commented on the photo saying: “Bhai Ajinkya kahan se prac pe aa gya tere sath. Kal humara match hai bhai.”

Translation: “Brother, how did Ajinkya end up practising with you. We have to play for Delhi Capitals tomorrow.”

Delhi Capitals have to battle it out with Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, November 8, in Abu Dhabi in what would be the 2nd qualifier. The winner in Abu Dhabi will go ahead and play the IPL 2020 final against Mumbai Indians on November 10. While both DC batsmen scored ducks in the 1st qualifier against Mumbai Indians, both had scored fifties to beat RCB in their last league stage game.

Ravindra Jadeja replied to Dhawan’s comment and said: “Pink ball Test hai isliye raat ko aaya tha.” Jadeja referred to the Day-Night Test in Adelaide that will kick off the 4-match Test series in December.

Left-handed experienced opener Shikhar Dhawan is also a part of the limited-overs squads for India in Australia.
