IPL 2021-KKR team leaves for Chennai phase of IPL: Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) left for Chennai to play the first three matches of the 14th leg of the Indian Premier League starting on Friday.

Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson and Pat Cummins are in seclusion at the team hotel in Chennai. Barring these three, the entire team and management took a chartered flight to Chennai in the afternoon.

KKR will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chepak on Sunday in the opening match of the season.

The team led by Eoin Morgan will take on Mumbai Indians on 13 April in Chennai and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 18 April.

After the Chennai leg, KKR will return to Mumbai and then leave for Ahmedabad. Bengaluru will be its last phase.

Considering the Kovid-19 epidemic, no franchise in the IPL will play on its home ground.
