By Mohammad Yousuf To Be Appointed As Pakistan’s Permanent Batting Coach: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly going to appoint Mohammad Yousuf as the permanent batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team. Mohammad Yousuf was working as a batting coach at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) in Lahore. He was recently released from the role, after which he was appointed as the permanent batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team. The news has come out.
The PCB has reportedly decided to appoint the veteran batsman as the permanent batting coach of the Pakistan team after he left the National High-Performance Center (NHPC). Meanwhile, the advertisement for the post of vacant batting coach at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) will be released soon.
Mohammad Yusuf to be Pakistan’s permanent batting coach
Mohammad Yousuf will work with former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden, who has recently been appointed as the batting consultant of the Pakistan cricket team for the T20 World Cup 2022. Pakistan’s current head coach is Saqlain Mushtaq, Shaun Tait is the bowling coach, and Abdul Majeed is the fielding coach.
Let us tell you, Mohammad Yousuf represented Pakistan on the international stage for more than a decade and was one of the world’s most prolific batsmen in both Test and ODI cricket. He scored more than 17000 runs in more than 350 matches in international cricket.
The former batsman also holds the record for most runs by a batter in red-ball cricket in a calendar year, having scored 1788 runs for Pakistan in 2006. He is currently working as a batting coach with the Pakistan team on the tour of Sri Lanka. Pakistan won the first Test against Sri Lanka by four wickets on July 20, and now the second and final Test is to be played between the two teams in Galle from July 24.
