By Bengali actor Swatilekha Sengupta dies at 71 in Kolkata
Renowned film and theatre actor Swatilekha Sengupta passes away in Kolkata. Swatilekha Sengupta had been unwell for a long and was being treated for kidney-related issues at a private hospital in the city. She was 71 when she breathed her last.

One of Swatilekha Sengupta’s recent films, Bela Sheshe, that starred late actor Soumitra Chatterjee in the lead opposite her turned out to be both a critical as well as a commercial hit. Calling it an end of an era, fans of Bengali cinema have mourned the loss of these two veteran actors.
