FIH Pro League: India beat Argentina to fourth position in FIH League

FIH Pro League-India beat Argentina to fourth position in FIH League:  Indian men’s hockey team Olympic champion Argentina in the second match 3. Defeated by 0, the FIH reached fourth place in the Pro League points table.

Harmanpreet Singh (11th minute), Lalit Upadhyay (25th) and Mandeep Singh (58th) scored for India. Earlier India won a bonus point by beating Argentina in a shootout in the first match.

After this win, India have reached 15 points in eight matches and are fourth in the FIH Pro League table. Australia is one point behind.

India, Australia and Argentina are in Pool A in the Tokyo Olympics, which also includes Spain, New Zealand and Japan.

Argentina finished sixth in the Pro League table with 11 points from 12 matches.

Argentina started very aggressively but Krishna Bahadur Pathak saved two goals from Martin Ferreiro. Harmanpreet gave India a boost in the 11th minute by scoring a penalty corner.

Lalit doubled this increase in the second quarter. Mandeep scored the third goal two minutes before the final whistle sounded.

Indian goalkeeper Pathak said, “We did well in defense. We also scored goals by creating goals. We will have to work on the midfield. ”

India will now play in Britain on May 8 and 9.
